Giovanni Pilu’s connection with the Shoalhaven goes well beyond his reputation as one of Australia’s leading chefs and champions of Sardinian cuisine. His relationship with Di Laver began through the hospitality training world, where Di spent 35 years leading Tourism and Hospitality at Nowra TAFE and building strong relationships with chefs and industry leaders who could inspire the next generation.

Simon Marnie is a much loved and respected Australian broadcaster, presenter and storyteller, best known for his warm, curious interviewing style and deep connection to communities across the NSW. Simon has been a long-time friend of the SFN.

Stephen’s lifelong connection to food was shaped by his Italian heritage and childhood memories of abundant homegrown produce, which sparked a deep respect for flavour, seasonality, and the care behind it.
