At Sassafras Nut Farm, you come for the fun of picking your own (PYO) Chestnuts and Walnuts.

It allows families and friends to come together and connect with nature and the source of your food. It gives you quality control (you choose the nuts you desire) and a sense of accomplishment harvesting your own food.

Hurry up! Chestnut/Walnut season is short, it lasts from mid March until the end of April. 
Entrance is $5 per person (children under 12 are free ) - Cash or Eftpos on site.

PYO for $12kg or you can buy pre-packed chestnuts at our on-site farm shop. The Farmgate store also sells crafts, flowers and lovely fresh produce. 

We are open for Harvest from Friday the 20th of March until the 19th of April, Friday to Sunday, 10am-3pm.
